We want to say THANK YOU to Reps Raychel Proudie, Betsy Fogle, and Darin Chappell, as well as the Senate Appropriations Committee and the House Budget Committee, for advocating for DVSS and VOCA funding this legislative session. Services rely on this funding to support survivors.

URGENT: Federal funds for DV and SV agencies have been delayed. MO service providers and survivors rely on this funding. Visit NNEDV.org/TakeAction to tell Congress to urge the DOJ and HHS to publish the notices of funding to expedite the release of these federal funds.

Two days ago, Governor Mike Kehoe signed House Bill 1908, allowing women in Missouri to get a divorce while pregnant. We are thankful for the work of the MO legislature for the unanimous passage of this bill. [Photo creds: Governor Kehoe's staff]

According to @nnedv's DV Counts, 599 requests went unmet because agencies lacked sufficient resources, funding, and/or staffing. Approximately 43% of these unmet requests were for shelter/housing. Agencies NEED stable funding.

Only 13% of adolescent sexual assault cases are reported to police, and 63% of survivors say they didn't report their assault because they thought they'd be blamed for it. You can support survivors by believing them. Take the pledge for #SAAM: startbybelieving.org

HB1908 allows pregnant people to divorce their spouses. It passed in the Senate today! Now, the bill will head to the Governor's desk for final approval. This ensures survivors can continue healing, regardless of pregnancy status. We are thankful for the work of the #MOLeg!

SB 106 was truly agreed and finally passed last Friday. This bill pans the practice of performing prostate, anal or pelvic examination upon an anesthetized or unconscious patient. It also extends postpartum Medicaid coverage for one-year post pregnancy. #WeChangeLawsWeChangeLives
