Saudi Arabia is targeting 94% diversion of waste from landfills by 2035, a transformation that demands large-scale recovery and treatment capacity across the Kingdom. Partnerships that turn industrial waste into value are now mission-critical.
On the sidelines of Gulf 4P, Mach & Tools and CTW Global (co-located with CIDEX), Modon Express Company, represented by Mr. Abdullah Mohammed Hazzazi, and Unichem Company, represented by Mr. Nasser AlDosry, signed a Memorandum of Understanding to streamline environmental services for factories nationwide.
This MoU sets out the parties’ intent to explore a collaboration to offer manufacturers a streamlined solution, potentially covering waste audits, collection, recycling/refining, and compliance support, to improve ESG performance, reduce disposal costs, and unlock value from off-spec and surplus materials, with digital access via Modon Express and processing through Unichem’s facilities, subject to final agreed scope and approvals.

Modon Express: a Saudi platform and app connecting factory owners and buyers, promoting “Made in Saudi Arabia” with a growing marketplace and service layer that supports local industry.
Unichem: a national leader in recycling and resource recovery for petroleum and petrochemical streams, operating facilities in the Eastern and Central Provinces with treatment capacity up to 200,000 MT/year. Unichem reprocesses, re-refines and recovers off-spec, surplus and contaminated materials (including trans-mix) into spec-compliant fuel products.
The shows successfully concluded, after bringing together 150+ exhibitors, 1,000+ products, 12 countries, 1,000+ B2B meetings and 6,000+ visitors, underscoring the platform’s role in catalysing investment, localisation and circular-economy solutions for the Kingdom.
More updates and new announcements are on the way.

Saudi industry is putting real capital to work. MODON drew SAR 24 billion in new industrial and logistics investments, up 38 percent year on year, signalling stronger factory build outs and supplier localization. Plastics and rubber now account for 26.2 percent of non oil exports, up 20.5 percent year on year. With a national construction pipeline estimated at USD 1.5 trillion, procurement teams in building systems, HVAC, finishes, and machinery are deploying sizable budgets across active projects.
Across Gulf 4P, Mach and Tools, and CTW Global, co located with CIDEX, visitors used the matchmaking lounges to move from RFI to quotation, converting evaluations into negotiated terms, framework agreements, and MoUs. Conference rooms focused on cost out opportunities, materials yield, downtime reduction, and energy efficiency, while export minded SMEs met buyers mapping Saudi and wider GCC routes to market.
On the show floor, capital translated into action. Day 03 saw packed aisles, back to back demos, and deal rooms busy with pricing sessions and delivery planning. International investors and EPCs advanced site assessments with suppliers, while distributors firmed multi line orders across plastics conversion, packaging automation, industrial tools, and building solutions. Government buyers and industrial estates aligned on localization roadmaps, linking supplier capability to expanding factory clusters.
Result, a high velocity trading day where budgets met benchmarks. Buyers left with clearer total cost pictures, and suppliers left with live pipelines. As the final day approaches, attention turns to closing orders, scheduling factory trials, and locking 2026 distribution footprints across the Kingdom and the region.
