One of the things 343 did that turned out to be a massive mistake was taking all the marketing hype about John-117 and making it canon to the setting by making him a celebrity in-universe. They drank their own koolaid and it's been stifling the character for 15 years.

@deuterdragonist @itsbasilbasil Yes, and there will be times in which a story moves a certain direction because that was the set up and buildup that have already been established so there would be no need for a doyalist perspective because that’s the direction the story was already going.

I think the S-IVs are narratively DOA if they're just presented as equally capable Spartans without any of the ethical complications, but I think there's a more interesting way to handle them than simply pretending that they're worse. 🧵

@MONDELLI175 Man, Alexandria-B264 is easily one of the coolest Halo original characters I've ever seen on here. The lore implied by seeing her go from full combat armor to a decorated dress uniform is just incredible.

@MONDELLI175 The contrast between the short dark hair and the blonde hair really highlights their distinct roles. Alex’s jacket is such an inspired choice to break up the dark armor. This design work is superb.

The sheer difference in size between Havoc 2 (Alex) and Havoc 1 (Sam). Goes to show that a heavy gunner needs some heft to her.
