Yesterday, the Maryland Peer Advisory Council (MPAC) proudly attended Maryland Overdose Prevention Day 2026, standing alongside peers, advocates, families, community members, providers, and partners committed to saving lives and strengthening recovery across our state.
Thank you, Lt. Governor, Aruna Miller,
Special Secertary Emily Keller & the leadership of the Maryland Office of Opioid Response, NCADD-MD, Behavioral Health System Baltimore (BHSB), Baltimore Harm Reduction Coalition and Maryland Alliance of Sensible Drug Policy.
This day serves as a powerful reminder that overdose prevention is public health work, community work, and recovery work. Together, we honored lives lost, uplifted those in recovery, and continued conversations that move us toward compassion, access to care, and hope.
We extend our sincere gratitude to all supporters, collaborators, organizers, and community partners who made this day possible. Your commitment to education, awareness, and action continues to make a meaningful difference in communities across Maryland.
MPAC remains committed to advancing peer support, reducing stigma, and ensuring that recovery and overdose prevention resources reach those who need them most.
