"Andy Burnham to put failing Thames Water in special administration." Thames Water and the water industry need to understand one thing, it's over, the greed, the corruption, the incompetence, it's over... we now enter the end game. thetimes.com/uk/politics/ar…

Truly shocking. That huge endless cash sucking sound? It’s the nuclear ‘industry’ demanding endless vast subsidies.

The public is clear what they want to happen with Thames Water MPs are clear too. And they are standing up and demanding that the government take it into special administration. Share this if you agree with them.

Hi @Ed_Miliband, I have two young children and what I want more than anything is for them to have the opportunity to grow old on a broadly liveable planet. Since 2009, you have been a pretty solitary example of someone in a position of power in the UK...

Heatwaves like the one we’re experiencing right now expose a simple truth: climate breakdown is a class issue. Private hospitals and executive offices serving the super-rich already have air conditioning as standard. But many of the public buildings we all rely on – hospitals, schools, nurseries and care homes – are increasingly unprepared for extreme heat. Unless we act, it will be working-class communities and the most vulnerable who pay the highest price. That’s why I’ve signed a parliamentary motion calling for mandatory cooling measures, including air conditioning, in all newly built hospitals, schools, nurseries and care homes, alongside a funded retrofit programme for existing buildings. In a climate breakdown, the wealthy will act in their own interests. We need a government that acts in ours. @AdnanHussainMP

Change:NOW! was a historic, hopeful moment for progressives. On 30th May, we brought together 800+ campaigners, thinkers, politicians and activists to build the movement for a more democratic future. At a moment of profound political and economic division, we showed that the values that unite progressives are stronger than the forces pulling us apart. Together, we can build a bold, pragmatic agenda capable of uniting people against the far right.

“Palantir are on the run. How do I know this? Because they've been in Parliament this week having a long session of two hours trying to persuade politicians that they were good for the NHS. They're not—they've sold a vision... about how they could unite all the systems on the NHS and give a single dashboard... this isn't possible.” On Thursday 2nd July in Parliament, we caught up with Liberal Democrat MP Martin Wrigley to discuss the mounting resistance to the US tech giant Palantir inside Westminster. Wrigley exposed how Palantir has been aggressively lobbying politicians with an impractical vision of an all-controlling data platform. Rather than locking our health service into flawed corporate software, Wrigley points to models like Greater Manchester that successfully integrated patient systems without compromising public trust or technical sovereignty. The NHS is seriously considering its exit point at the end of this year, and Wrigley is actively leading the charge to provide an immediate off-ramp. 📍 London 📅 2 July 2026 #Palantir #NHS #SaveOurNHS Footage @ranjanbalakumaran

Last week I spoke at a rally about the problem of deliberate disinformation in sections of the UK corporate press. Neatly, the rally was reported in the Sunday Telegraph in an article full deliberate disinformation. hackedoff.org/blog-posts/pan…

Starmer’s goodbye gift to UK: a £44.7bn US pharma deal could be more lethal than Covid. Pushes up the cost of NHS drugs, boosts US corporate profits. Secret contract, no debate in parliament. Must renegotiate, produce drugs at home wherever possible. theguardian.com/commentisfree/…

1) It’s *literally* your job to regulate this platform. 2) If you can’t, what does that mean? Tell us. 3) The Dept of Culture is not ‘your’ department, it’s ours. You’re its temporary custodian 5) But Facebook is ok? Really?
Lisa Nandy MP@lisanandy

I've decided to leave this platform and my Department will too. A platform originally designed for free speech and expression now favours abuse and misinformation over meaningful debate. It isn't healthy for our democracy or our communities and I don’t want to support it.

🚨 NEWS: Children taken ill after swimming at a popular river bathing spot. At least 16 people - including children - have suffered vomiting and diarrhoea after swimming at Farleigh Hungerford on the River Frome, near Bath. Just days earlier, the site had been assessed as low risk. Now Wessex Water is investigating a nearby sewage overflow. 💩🤢 This is the reality of England's broken water system. Families should be able to enjoy their local rivers without worrying that a swim could leave them sick. Instead, years of underinvestment, sewage pollution and regulatory failure have left far too many waterways unsafe. Clean rivers aren't a luxury. They're essential for public health, nature and our communities. Until water companies are run in the public interest and our rivers are protected instead of exploited, customers, communities and nature will continue to pay the price. bbc.co.uk/news/articles/… #RescueOurRivers #SewageScandal #CleanWater #RiverFrome

The £17 billion of tax HMRC is choosing not to collect youtu.be/cNej_KOdbQU?si… That's enough to pay for 50,000 council houses a year, and HMRC don't seem to care that it's being lost.
