No… DCU Gotham and Reevesverse Gotham look similar visually because both used Glasgow for shooting, but tonally a shape-shifting character like Clayface wouldn’t fit in the Reevesverse unless it was the early Basil Karlo serial killer version who just wore a clay mask.

Y’all are gonna call me crazy, but tonally, it’s so much closer to what Reeves is doing. I know the DCU is trying to distinguish itself w/ so many different tones — but man, I’ve watched this trailer twice & can only think of how easily (and cool) Pattinson would fit here. Damn.

In no way is this a complaint against CLAYFACE. But i wish this film was in the Matt Reeves Batman universe rather than the DCU. It’s standalone and i’m happy with that. I just can’t help but think it would do more good for that universe rather than the DCU i get why it’s not. It’s ultimately a non issue. Just a thought in the back of my mind that i can’t shake
