UCSF Fresno Mobile HeaL is holding a walk-up vaccine clinic today (9/22) until 2 pm in the UCSF Fresno parking lot off of Illinois and Fresno streets in downtown Fresno. UCSF Fresno Associate Dean @MPetersonMD and wife Mrs. Barbara Peterson, received their bivalents.

UCSF Fresno celebrated commencement at the Saroyan Theatre in person tonight (June 9) for the first time since 2019. Many of the graduates are staying in Fresno and the Central Valley to care for patients, teach future physicians or continue their medical education.

9/ Paper (bit.ly/2z2hJ59 & Fig): link between transmission rate & fraction of population that must be immune to get herd immunity. In U.S., avg Covid pt infects 3.29 others -> herd immunity needs 69.6%. (Paper's “Rt”, effective transmission rate, is = R0 when few immune)
