The greek fisherman never optimises a single thing He doesn't have a special, unique morning routine. He simply has a morning He doesn't have a crazy sleep protocol. He naturally has darkness and quiet at night. He doesn't have a "diet". He or his wife simply prepare what came off the boat and what grows nearby. He doesn't have to have crazy social community strategies. He simply has the same men he's been eating dinner with for 70+ years. People nowadays are obsessed with optimisation - but they simply want to fill a gap created by their incoherent environment. If you live in an environment that already provides everything your biology expects - light, real animal based food, natural movement with meaning, genuine community, a craft that demands your skill and attention, genuine life purpose - there is then very little to optimise further. I absolutely believe having routines and optimisations are incredibly beneficial in this modern world - having structure in your life literally gives you energy, and having energy requires structure, as ray peat said. But you need to know what your routine is for, and recognise that they are needed because of the modern world. And so ultimately the question isn't "how do I optimise better?" It's "which parts of my environment are forcing me to optimise in the first place?" And how can I change those? Because the goal is not to optimise better but rather to need less optimisation. Every supplement and protocol is only great when paired with the fundamentals - you then build a baseline of health that makes your body feel safe and in control again. From then on you can start living to your true potential again. The endpoint is not a more refined protocol. It's becoming the person for whom the protocol is no longer necessary because his life and environment contains what his body naturally is created for. Fixing your environment is key

The Greek fisherman is 90+ years old. He wakes before sunrise, takes his boat out onto open water daily, eats the freshest seafood and shellfish, present in every moment, has a strong feeling of belonging, masters his craft every day, drinks local wine at lunch with men he's known for 70+ years, laughs loudly, has loud debates at dinner, is part of a genuine community, and truly feels alive every moment he lives. This is what true euphoric living and waking up everyday feeling like you're in heaven looks like when you truly have everything done correctly - namely light, purpose, movement, real nutrition, family, mindset and social environment. The meaning of life is clearly understood, and he's able to live it out because of his environment and lifestyle - the internal biology, hormones and metabolism which give him the life force, energy and vitality to carry out his purpose. A big part of their vital, healthy living comes from their diet. This is what the Mediterranean diet actually was before researchers such as Ancel keys stripped it to a mainly plant based diet and ultimately influenced the modern food pyramid that now demonises saturated fat. - Raw and aged cheeses - fat soluble vitamins in natural ratios, CLA, bioavailable calcium for optimal calcium:phosphorus ratio that keeps stress hormones and parathyroid hormone low - Whole fish and raw shellfish - zinc, iodine, selenium, DHA for thyroid output and androgen hormone synthesis - Offal in every traditional cuisine - for example liver in Venetian fegato alla veneziana, bone marrow in Milanese ossobuco, kidneys in many traditional French bistro dishes. - Collagenous slow-cooked broths - glycine balancing the methionine load from muscle meat - Local Wine with food in the sun, not alone at night in front of a screen - fresh fruits - supporting clean glucose oxidation, vitamin C regenerating glutathione and cofactoring collagen synthesis. Eaten in the sun with your people. - naturally fermented bread Then there is the modern approach to longevity. Someone like Brian Johnson will probably get outlived by the Mediterranean fisherman. Has subpar bloodwork. Is vegan because of the "science" but taking 100 supplement pills for breakfast. Stresses about a single ray of sunshine touching his body, and stresses about a single ounce of saturated fat entering his system, which will funnily enough cause more damage to his body than what he thinks the damage of saturated fat will do. This one food has been used as medicine for over 5,000 years. Ancient Egyptians painted it on tomb walls as a symbol of life after death and eternal fertility. Ayurveda prescribed it for the heart, the blood, and the gut. Traditional chinese medicine highly regards it as a medicine food. Ancient greeks recommended it for diarrhea and intestinal parasites. It's pomegranates. And it turns out all these civilisations were right. Pomegranate's polyphenols feed beneficial Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium while suppressing pathogenic bacteria. Punicalagin, pomegranate's main active compound, lowers oxidative stress - generally speaking, less oxidative stress = more efficient mitochondrial respiration = more testosterone = more vital living. Pomegranates, especially the juice, increases nitric oxide, delays fatigue, causes vasodilation and therefore supercharging performance physically and cognitively. When your gut bacteria metabolise pomegranate's ellagitannins, they produce Urolithin A, triggering mitophagy - the recycling of damaged mitochondria. It also activates PGC-1α, supporting mitochondrial biogenesis - helping support mitochondrial health and efficient energy production down the line. One of my favourite medicinal foods out there. They're simply delicious as well - traditional medicine never dissapoints. Also great for pre workout sugars. Pomegranatemaxxing for optimal health.

If there's one breakfast that can guarantee you elite cognitive function, clean energy and superb performance fuel - it's eggs, oranges, raw dairy. Bonus if you have some royal jelly lying around too. Egg yolks are a choline powerhouse - the direct precursor to acetylcholine, the neurotransmitter that drives focus and working memory. Cholesterol helps support steroidogenesis - producing the androgen hormones you need for optimal performance. Eggs, mainly when eaten raw, also contain beneficial gut healing properties due to it's lysozyme, ovotransferrin and ovomucin content which inhibit pathogenic gut bacteria while supporting the mucus layer - this helps support gut health over time, leading to more efficient energy production over time. Vitamin C from the orange crosses the blood brain barrier and acts as cofactor for dopamine synthesis, acting as your motivation and alertness neurotransmitter. The natural fruit sugars deliver immediate energy. Raw dairy has a favourable calcium:phosphorus ratio that helps reduce inflammation, has magnesium for mental clarity, live cultures that help the gut produce gaba (calming effects), and has a brilliant mix of carbs, fats and proteins that supports energy production during the day. Royal jelly helps absorb calcium into tissue, specifically bone tissue. It stimulates osteoblast activity, potentially increasing bone density even in adulthood, making you look better and stronger. It also has acetylcholine precursors which help focus and attention just like the eggs. Eat more of these foods for optimal performance and health.

Do you really crave that sugary processed food? Or do you just crave dopamine, to which your brain has naturally just become insensitive from years of technological overstimulation, porn and endless social media consumption? Energy which your mitochondria can no longer generate efficiently from a gut too damaged to absorb nutrients efficiently? Minerals your adrenals are begging for after years of chronic stress? The comfort of something familiar as your nervous system's attempt to self medicate a dysregulated internal state? Heal your gut and any weak areas of physiology. Get morning light. Pop by your local butcher or farmers market. Get some fresh produce - oysters, seafood, steak, cheese, oxtail, fruits. Build a sleep fortress. Move your body naturally. Connect with people who you resonate with. Connect with nature - you are part of it, so you belong to it. Your body will feel safe and in control again, not controlled - only then can it heal, recover and regenerate to true health. Nature will always reward you for living right.

Its wild to me that most people know they get one chance at this game of life, but unknowingly sabotage their health. Wake up with an alarm. 3 Black coffees before any food just to feel awake. Intense fasted cardio. Going to a job that doesn't resonate with your purpose. Sit 8 hours a day. Mindlessly consuming. Your commute from work to home is the only time you get fresh air all day. Processed ready made meal for dinner. Netflix brainrot in the evening. Critical thinking and creativity gone from tech abuse dopamine depletion. Blue light before bed. Critical hormone rhythms completely out of sync. Wake up unrested. The whole cycle repeats. Living in circles. These people live stagnant, repetitive, disconnected lives, not realising that we are nature - therefore living against it will be fighting an uphill battle against feeling like you're actually living, not just merely there. What most don't realise is that you're one spontaneous adventure, a couple convos with strangers, a few mornings at your farmers market, a few sunrise wakings, sunlight in eyes, many slow deep breaths, a dozen oysters, a sunset swim, a few deep sleeps, ceviches and tartares, time spent with feet on earth, an abundance of fresh fruits away from being so, so back and actually realising what it means to be human. This gets you feeling alive and moving. And physical movement breaks mental stagnation. Breaking stagnation restores the clarity you need to connect with your purpose. The environment you have placed yourself in then demands androgen hormones to be firing, because you're in the environment where you NEED them for survival. The food you eat will be used as fuel. Your body will start to shape up. Little things make you happy again. You do things because you want to, because they make you feel good - not because you know you have to do them. You feel like a child again. An actual free human, doing what intuitively makes them happy. There is then full synchronicity between your internal biology and the external demand, because you have achieved true health. This is what it feels like to be alive. Healthmaxxing in 2026.

Waking up every day knowing you're in heaven - abundance mindset - raw seafood and oysters - already tanned in May - realising you are nature, not separate - understanding that most suffering is future or past, never in the now - not vegan - knowing life is a game, the goal of which to have fun - Talking to my Uber driver about how nasal breathing during his workshift would improve his cerebral blood flow and lower cortisol through the Bohr effect - finding peace in every moment - raw eggs - laughter with people who get it - knowing what your purpose is - fresh pomegranates and blueberries - grounding - waking up with the sun's rays

Raw eggs are a superfood But if you don't like to just drink them straight, you can just make an easy anabolic high testosterone chocolate mousse. - raw eggs - organic cacao powder - raw honey - dash of sea salt Separate the yolks from the white, then mix the cacao powder and honey with the yolks. Whisk the egg whites until white and fluffy, and mix everything together. Then put in the fridge for around 4 hours. Paired with a glass or two of raw milk, its one of the easiest and most nutritious meals you can make. An absolute French traditional culinary classic.

Do you really need that testosterone boosting stack? Or do you just need to find your purpose in life, wake up every morning with a mission to complete, smile at strangers, fix your gut, eat oysters and ceviches, lift something heavy, bark back at dogs, stare at sunrises, swim in the oceans, never stress about unnecessary things, stop abusing technology and simply find enjoyment in life again?

How is it that the most stimulated generation in history is also the most purposeless? You know how it feels to wake up every day with meaning and purpose - because that's what most likely happened during your childhood where everything felt meaningful and ecstatic - because as a child you naturally had that purpose and drive in life. But the modern world has prevented that meaningful childhood state from being carried over into adulthood. The longest living and healthiest cultures in history all had purpose throughout their whole lives. They all woke up every day with somewhere to be. Problems to solve. A family to take care of. A craft to master. Farm animals to take care of, or simply having to be there for a community that you were an important part of. The difference between them and us is simple - they lived in tune with nature and we live against it. They lived in absolute alignment with the sun, going to bed soon after sunset and waking at sunrise. They ate the freshest, seasonal foods available to them - fresh meats, fish, cheese, raw milk, fruits, vegetation. They all engaged in some sort of natural movement every single day - walking, swimming, sport with friends, gardening, building. They all had a special place in a tight knit community. And of course they had purpose and meaning in life. The reason they had this purpose and meaning was because them living with Nature and not against it created an internal biological, hormonal and metabolic environment that gave them the neurological drive and activation to initiate action and to live life to the fullest. When you have a family depending on you and a special community with a unique role for you - the external demand meets this internal physiological environment perfectly. The Japanese call this Ikigai - your reason for waking up in the morning. The purpose and meaning in life for them was simply provided by the environment - by nature. Modern humans work against nature in every aspect, and therefore don't naturally find their purpose and meaning in adult life the same way these long living cultures do. It's why so many men now are purposeless and don't know what to do with their lives. Live with nature - nature will always reward you. And part of that reward is you being able to find your purpose and meaning in life and live it out to the fullest. It's never too late to turn things around.

Bone-in sardines are a true superfood. People like paul saladino generally avoid seafood because of heavy metals and microplastics - but these issues are negligible, especially with sardines, and you're leaving many vital nutrients on the table if you're only eating land meats. Sardines have much more vitamin D than beef, activating the testosterone producing genes in Leydig cells, and inhibiting aromatase preventing testosterone to oestrogen conversion. DHA & EPA for cell-membrane integrity, inflammation control and cognitive function. High in taurine and coenzyme Q10 - taurine helps give you that instant calming and euphoric feeling due to its gaba-a receptor activation properties. Coq10 is essential for metabolism, by being the primary electron carrier in the mitochondrial electron transport chain - without it, ATP output drops and energy cannot be produced. Highly bioavailable complete protein supporting muscle growth. Calcium from the bones supporting the calcium: phosphorous ratio. Too much phosphorous can raise stress hormones and parathyroid hormone (PTH), pulling calcium from tissue. Selenium, iodine, zinc, and B12 - optimal thyroid support, supporting efficient energy production and body composition. Glycine and gelatin from the skin and bones - balanced amino acid ratios are also important for keeping stress hormones low and thyroid functioning efficiently. You can make a ceviche/carpaccio with them with some herbs and tomatoes, or lightly grill them. And you don't have to worry about heavy metals from sardines, since they're relatively low on the food chain, so haven't bioaccumulated them. SardineMaxxing in 2026

The most dangerous thing the modern world did to men was make passivity comfortable and normalised. Because men nowadays come from an education system that promoted compliance, not curiosity. A system that made you afraid of speaking your truth, and one that taught you obedience over initiative. The freedom to think, to question and to push back got stripped away from a young age. Because these kids needed to be manageable, and these traits have been passed over to the new wave of these passive, manageable men. This passivity and comfort feels safe. But little do they know its actually slowly atrophying and rotting the mind and body (which are the same thing anyway). Because it is the slow biological adaptation to a life that demands absolutely nothing. The biological adaptation that manifests in low testosterone, chronic stress that makes the gut lining permeable allowing endotoxins circulating systemically through your body, the anxiety, the brain fog, depression, low libido, low ambition. This is why twins could be eating the same perfect diet - with raw oysters, eggs, seafood, raw dairy - but one who lives in his purposeless comfort cocoon becomes worse and the other thrives. Why would their body then create necessary hormones conducive to a vital life, when they're in an environment where being vital is not needed for survival? The other twin thrives because every friction he experienced from not being in comfort would have produced hormonal adaptation, nervous system resilience and masculine identity - he has drive, libido, ambition because his biology NEEDS it in his environment to survive. Add the processed, addictive, nutrient devoid foods which people eat nowadays, the blue light at night, the never seeing the sunrise, the constant stress from work, the social media nuking baseline dopamine tone. It's no wonder people feel anxious, depressed, lonely, low drive, low ambition. But when you look at their lives, why would they feel any different? It's easier than ever to stand out. And all it comes down to is living in tune with nature. Light. Purpose. Movement. Real nutrition. Family. Mindset. Social environment.

You're a dozen oysters, couple ceviche's, 1 or 2 litres fresh OJ and raw dairy, couple sessions of calisthenics in the sun, laughter with your boys, 24-48hrs digital minimalism/tech free, 15k steps and one or two sunrises away from being so, so back. Because ultimately for true health, its only when your body feels safe and in control that true health and recovery can occur - you'll then be on track for more energy, efficient metabolism, thicker hair, clearer skin, radiant eyes, better body composition. And these things are the fundamentals that will help your body feel safe, in control and healable. What most don't realise is that forcing protocols and supplements down your throat can almost never help the root cause if these fundamentals aren't nailed, because the body simply can't heal when it feels forced to, and until you nail the fundamentals (light, diet, movement, mindset, behaviour), your body will always be pushed into an uphill battle. The reality is that when you look around you, very few people are living and eating like this. The majority of people's bodies don't feel safe enough to heal because they don't take care of their body enough, preventing their nervous system from redirecting resources from survival to repair and regeneration. And ultimately that's why the average modern man is anxious, has skin issues, energy issues, drive issues. The good news is that this means that it is so easy to stand out in terms of energy, appearance, vibrancy, magnetism, presence and aura - all by nailing these fundamentals. People will undoubtedly notice the difference. The food aspect - especially the raw animal foods like ceviche, raw dairy, eggs - give you the heat sensitive micronutrient saturation that your mitochondria needs to produce energy efficiently and that your body needs to synthesise hormones. The optimal light environment and quality sleep then makes sure these hormones, such as cortisol, testosterone, growth hormone, dopamine are synchronised and in optimal rhythm - and most importantly it ensures the gut has an environment conducive for regeneration and repair. The digital minimalism then also helps support dopamine tone - supporting testosterone, motivation, drive and enjoyment in life. Every piece comes together and is essential for you to operate at and feel your best.
