What a great start of #IROS2024 Coffee breaks without coffee ☕ nor food 🍩. Lunch was provided only to few people and left majority watching. I know conference is not just about food, but that could help networking... For 1.1k € fee, I hoped for a sandwich 🥪 #epicFail

@MPluhacek If even the physicists—unquestionable demigods of science—have accepted AI and celebrated it, then it must definitely be worth something ;) This recognition of the field by older, “fundamental” science culture feels well-placed.

My dad (theoretical nuclear physicist) loved to joke about my neural network research over the course of my Masters and PhD, not exactly belittling it, but… shrugging it off with a certain sense of superiority. Well dad, what do you say to this?
