I grew up listening to the best: Lance Russell. The BIGGEST compliment I ever had was Lance telling me he loved all my Memphis art and would’ve showed it on TV. Today would’ve been his 100th birthday. Happy birthday in Heaven to the greatest.

@WrestlingIsKing I started watching and really getting into wrestling during Rude's first US title reign after beating Sting, it was such an EPIC run for Rude at that time that gave us so many great feuds, and gave us The Dangerous Alliance, which is a highly underrated group.

Rick Rude was the total quintessential heel.a wrestler designed to soak in the boos of the audience,rather than the cheers.Rude was expert at getting that desired reaction from the audience with his charisma and mic work,and he had the ring skills and toughness to back up all that vitrol.Ravishing Rick Rude was one of those who always stood out from the pack.

@PCassidy78 @80sWrestling_ So true, WCW had SO much talent, but their booking committee and higher ups had their heads stuck so far up their asses, they didn't know wtf they were doing... I do however still enjoy watching matches from that era.

@MPunk79 @80sWrestling_ I remember watching when he beat Vader. He unfortunately suffered from the same problem all of WCW had bad then. Terrible booking. They had their moments, but they also couldn't get out of their own way.

@The_yellowbone I bought every compilation VHS tape RF Video had of both of these guys in 2002, I thought they both were the future of wrestling for generations and decades to come... not quite, but still a blast to watch back and wonder "what if"

@The_yellowbone My second favorite intro song, next to classic ECW. I REALLY enjoyed the NWA during this time, the Aldis vs. Storm rivalry was just SO epic for me at that time. To be far, it was COVID that really derailed the NWA right as they started to really get going during this era... sad😢
