I disagree. I have two adult sons, 27 and 22. I always wanted kids, so we chose to have them. The kids were brought up with unconditional love, expecting zero reciprocation. We want neither kid to do anything for us. As long as they spread their wings and figure out what they want in life, we are happy. Our children did not ask to be born. We chose to give birth to them. They will not be our crutches in old age or our fixed deposit or our lottery. We will not force them to get married or have children because we want grandchildren. It will be their choice to make as they deem fit. We will have each other in old age to have and to hold till death do us part. If we find staying alone in a large house difficult, we will downsize and shift to a retirement community with proximity to medical facilities. We will visit the children or vice versa whenever we get an opportunity. At the end of the day, their life us theirs, and our life is ours. No guilt tripping whatsoever.

What happens when people don't have kids?? Society falls and fails. The couples who think they can manage on their own without depending on kids, have they ever thought the young home helper who comes to do jadu-pota-bartan is someone's daughter. The young vegetable seller guy is someone's son. The young security gaurd of their housing colony is someone's son. The young guy who picks the trash is someone's son. The delivery guy is someone's son. The young electrician, plumber is someone's son. The young nurse who is going to look after you, bathe you, clean you is someone's daughter. The doctor who is going to treat you is someone's daughter or son. The young banker is someone's child. The list goes on. See developed countries where fertility is failing and older population is more than younger population. Japan for instance, Europe for instance. When a population of a country declines, to run the economy, the country's borders are opened. And then all hell breaks loose. This is what is happening in Europe now.

People who are averse to having kids and live a DINK life. It’s perfectly fine. But they are missing on one key thing in life: The purest form of love in the world is what a parent has for their kid. Their own blood. It may not be vice versa. Relationships, marriages often devolve into transactional setups. Love between a couple diminishes with time & becomes a most optimal peaceful settlement. But the affection for your kid is pure. If you are okay with not experiencing it, it’s totally fine. :)

SINKS is even better than DINK. Why even have a hassle of marrying? And be burdened with eccentricities of spouse and his/her extended family... SINKS it is...Single Income No Kids or Spouse 🤪

People who can have kids are going DINK way, people who cannot but want kids are paying IVF and cursing their luck. Mysterious world.

It’s a very personal matter but definitely a scary trend. Have kids guys. Who will pay tax for your pension. And what’s even the need for marriage if DINK is agenda. As far as nature is concerned that’s the only reason we are born. Life for me would be completely incomplete without my grand child.
