To promote social inclusion, reinforce social cohesion & bridge the social gap between returnees & their communities, this week, @MRCMogadishu, in partnership with @IOM_Somalia, organised a painting session for Mogadishu's returned. Art connects us with our true selves. #Somalia

On this #WorldMentalHealthDay, we must not forget the most vulnerable among us, including the hundreds of thousands of internally displaced in Somalia. Mental health care for all – this needs to become a reality.

To meet the health needs of migrants and returnees and provide them with health care assistance, @MRCMogadishu, conducted one-week primary healthcare training for our nursing and primary healthcare staff. @IOM_Somalia

Under the EU-IOM Joint Initiative for Migrant Protection and Reintegration, @MRCMogadishu together with @IOM_Somalia conducted a Workshop for Returnee Committees live in #Mogadishu.

MRC staff participated in Online Training on Regional MRC Guidelines & Standards 4 Operations and MRC Information System. The staff was trained to operate Protection Assessments 4 Adults (Returnees & Stranded Migrants) & Registration 4 Services.

‼️ Hundreds of Somali returnees are in urgent need of support. IOM’s Deputy Chief of Mission visited the @MRCMogadishu to meet some of them and learn about their experiences and current situation.

Today, @IOM_Somalia Deputy Chief of Mission @NaqviEwa visited the @MRCMogadishu centre and had in-depth discussions with returnees connected to The Center. Ewa expressed her happiness to visit the centre and promised that more would be done together.

Today was the 2nd & final day of our two-day training on “Children on the move: Assisted Voluntary Return and Protection”, Jointly conducted by @IOM_Somalia and @unicefsomalia. The training was part of the EU-IOM joint initiative for Migrant Protection and Reintegration. #Somalia

Today @MRCMogadishu hosted @IOM_Somalia & @unicefsomalia joint two-day training on “Children on the move: Assisted Voluntary Return and Protection”. MRC Mogadishu Staff, representatives from @MWomenHRD and @SWDC_ORG participated in the training program.

Our Director @MohamudMohiadin welcomed into our office Directors from Benadir Regional Administration and guests from @IOM_Somalia.

...@MRCMogadishu staff welcomed & arranged an iftar gathering dinner for 15 Somali returnees to #Mogadishu on April 2021. Our team introduced our activates, including the assistance, integration & awareness programs we do 4 the youth. Finally, we agreed to have good coordination.

The center will serve as a one-stop point for #returnees and #migrants to receive information and protection related services, as well as play a key role in promoting the sustainable reintegration of Somali returnees.
