soobin and beomgyu have a very close relationship without any sense of distance, and they are affectionately called “danjjakz” among fans. as global artist representing korea, who have walked the same path, we asked the two what they mean to each other and about the nature of their current relationship. their meeting dates back to their traineer days 🧸 on the very first day i came up from daegu to seoul, the person who stayed by my side and looked after me was soobin. my first impression of him was that he was very easygoing, if i had to compare him to something, he was a milk-like person. gentle/soft and he had an overall pure and clean feeling. having someone like that approach me first was really a huge source of strength for me at the time. i’m very grateful that he’s been looking out for me from our trainee days until now. and as time passed, soobin has gradually shown more diverse sides of himself. he’s developed a playful side and a solid, grounded side, and i think his inner self has become much richer 🐰 when we first met, he was very shy and quiet friend. beomgyu joined later, so i tried to pay as much attention to him as possible so he wouldn’t feel lonely on his own. but now, he has become the brightest, most lively and the one who has changed the most. at first, i think he was holding himself back a little because of the enviroment was unfamiliar. after about a week, he started moving around a lot. however, he has really matured a lot now. in front of the fans, his energy goes up and he shows a playful side, but when it’s just the two of us, we tend to have quite a lot of serious conversations and talk about many things in depth

#pursuitofjade ~ (imo / rant time ~ heavy heavy stuff) ep 29/30 in ep 29, there were a lot of flashback moments. sometimes they land, sometimes they don’t. for me, it felt a bit overdone. probably due to post-production editing and the licensing process. scenes get cut, and a lot of the time it makes the story feel choppy and rushed. overall, though, it keeps the drama moving. small moments with our mls ~ the flashback of #fanchangyu realizing #xiezheng used his own blood to consecrate the swords. we all know he secretly loves it when she yells at him 😂 ep 30 is all about the battle at lucheng, and i was on edge the entire time. the cinematography during the fight was gorgeous. i especially loved the moments where fanchangyu recalls her father’s teachings on slaughtering pigs, her sparring with xiezheng, and general he’s training scenes. such small details make the characters and their growth feel so real. cannot forget the scene where lord changxin takes the final blow from fcy and sees her and her father's spirit right before his last breath. i got GOOSEBUMPS!! i think the scene that hit me the most was her conversation with #lihuaian after the battle. his quiet crush for fanchangyu seem to end since she (mr. Jin) knocked him out during the battle, tbh i get why he’s upset. she did it to keep him safe, but it really wasn’t her call. his character seems quite ambiguous - he’s stuck btwn the li and wei faction. i might have missed it but idk why the wei is even a factor for him since he's part of the li family. although he chooses neither but we’ll see what happens. the biggest moment was the reveal of fcy’s father’s true identity: “traitor wei qilin.” she also discovers that xz’s father died because of her own father’s actions (there’s still a lot to unpack there) and we’re probably about to get the classic noble idiocy trope of pushing a loved one away to keep them safe. in the novel, it was actually xz who initiated this. so we'll see if he does or if it's cfy who makes that decision. I DON'T WANT TO BELIEVE IT BUT WE'RE DOWN TO THE 10 LAST EPS OF PURSUIT OF JADE !!! 😭😭😭 i'm not sure how i'm going to feel when it's over... #tianxiwei #zhanglinghe
