Elite defense. I think Mateer is a gun slinger and being asked not to turn the ball over. Naturally a 3/1 or 4/2 td/int guy. I think this is a tricky dynamic for him. But when we’ve really needed it, he gets it done (normally with his legs). We’ve also played some of the best sec defenses the last few weeks. But will have to be better to win a playoff game…

After every Lincoln Riley loss, the excuse is “he’s cleaning up Clay’s mess.” But Clay recruited better, and Lincoln’s best season was built on Clay’s roster. If anything, Clay helped him save face Y1. You’d think the further we got from Helton, the better it’d look. It doesn’t.
