People in Gaza are struggling to access lifesaving care. The remaining hospitals, mostly partially functional, are constantly overwhelmed. Repeated strikes on healthcare facilities are yet more examples of the Israeli authorities making the Strip unlivable. (3/3)

MSF-supported Nasser hospital is now the only public hospital in Khan Younis, southern Gaza. It was also hit on the same day a few hours before the Gaza European Hospital for the second time in less than two months. (2/3)

The Gaza European Hospital, in Khan Younis, the last facility providing cancer-treatment across the Strip, is now out of service after Israeli forces struck it on 13 May. This was one of the last remaining lifelines in Gaza's shattered healthcare system. (1/3)

Food. Water. Electricity. Antibiotics. Anaesthetics. Surgical materials. All of these essentials are desperately needed to help people survive in Gaza—and yet aid continues to be blocked. This deadly blockade cannot continue.

Such attacks on medical facilities endanger our patients and staff. It's an egregious conduct that we have seen time and again over the last 19 months on hospitals, clinics and medical equipment with impunity. Targeting medical facilities must stop. (4/4)

"This attack on a medical complex so close to our medical operations is horrific," says MSF emergency coordinator Claire Manera. "It comes as the ongoing siege is already taking its toll on healthcare workers who are struggling to treat patients with little to no supplies.” (3/4)

After the first attack, MSF had to move its burn unit to a nearby building, where we treat severe burns, trauma injuries and running two surgical theatres. Following today's attack, outpatient consultations are suspended and we're reduced the MSF staff in the facility. (2/4)

At 2:45am on 13 May, an Israeli airstrike targeted one of the buildings of Nasser medical complex in Gaza, killing two people and injuring 12. We are providing surgical intervention for two of the wounded. This is the second attack on the same building in seven weeks. (1/4)

🔴 Today, MSF’s hospital in Old Fangak, South Sudan, was bombed. The pharmacy was destroyed. All medical supplies lost. There are reports of people killed and injured. This was the only functional hospital in the area. Stop the bombing. Protect civilians. Protect healthcare.

The community of Jinba, where MSF provides primary health care, faces risk of forcible transfer. MSF is horrified by this attack on civilians and destruction of civilian infrastructure. We call on Israeli forces to protect health facilities and stop attacks on civilians. (4/4)

“When we entered the MSF clinic, we were shocked by the damage,” explains Rasha Hashlamoun, MSF social work supervisor. “Everything was destroyed. People in the community of Jinba described it as the most terrifying hours of their lives.” (3/4)

The MSF clinic was destroyed during the attack by Israeli forces and settlers and according to residents, civilian infrastructure including homes, a mosque and a school were also destroyed. Residents also said that Israeli forces threw tear gas and detained several people. (2/4)
