It's #F1 Race Week at the storied @circuitspa for the #BelgianGP. 🇧🇪 Spa has held all but 12 editions of Belgium's F1 round; safety concerns pushed the race to Nivelles and Zolder in the 1970s, returning to a shortened Spa in the 1980s. Here are a few of our top shots:

12-time GP winner, 1981 #F1 WDC runner-up and politician for his beloved Santa Fe, Carlos Reutemann passed away five years ago #OnThisDay. Argentina's first real F1 hope since Fangio, "Lole" was a cerebral, inscrutable talent, capable of riveting speed and true brilliance. 🌟

#OnThisDay 50 years ago: James Hunt swept to #F1 #FrenchGP victory while Ferrari fell to a dramatic double engine failure. 🤯 The next day, Hunt was reinstated as Spanish GP winner; the two wins vaulted him from a distant fifth in the title race to second! 😲 #GettyLaudaVsHunt

The 71st @GoodwoodRRC Members' Meeting was held #OnThisDay 60 years ago - the circuit's final contemporary racing event. 👋 Racing wouldn't return until the first @goodwoodrevival in 1998, with its brick chicane replaced with more vehicle friendly polystyrene blocks! 🧱🫣
