The only one who continually 'breaks' the Papacy is Peter Kwasniewski, who advocates for a 'rethinking' of the Papacy since he can't fit Francis into it. In his world, the decrees of the Holy See are subject to review by laymen, who then pronounce on what is and isn't acceptable.

It's always amusing when semi-trads turn to 'Cardinal' Muller to tell them what is and isn't heresy - apriestlife.blogspot.com/2026/02/muller… Muller is on record stating that a running camera would not have been able to record the Risen Christ, that the Perpetual Virginity of the Blessed Mother is not about "physiological and empirically verifiable somatic details", and that the question at what precise point in the Mass the bread and wine become the Body and Blood of Christ "does not really make sense theologically".

Notice how he slyly contrasts "inequality" with "fairness", as if inequality were the same as injustice. Inequality is inherent to human nature and human society and is not wrong. Injustice is wrong. Christ Himself showed the difference in the parable of the workers in the vineyard, who were being treated unequally (some only had to work very little for the same pay) but not unjustly.

A friendly reminder that today, the Vigil of Christmas, is traditionally a day of fast and complete abstinence. An interesting tid bit, under the old absolute norm of fasting, St. Alphonsus allowed double the usual quantity at the collation on Christmas Eve which became known as the ‘Jejunium Gaudiosum'- the Joyful Fast. While still a day of penance, Christmas Eve does have a mixture of joy along with penance.

If sedevacantists are right, then Novus Ordoism is a false religion incapable of offering salvation. Consequently, if a person dies professing Novus Ordoism, that person will go to hell.
On the other hand, if Novus Ordos are right, Vatican II itself asserts that sedevacantists will still go to heaven.
See Vatican II's Decree on Ecumenism, Unitatis Redintegratio:
"[Sedevacantists] also use many liturgical actions of the Christian religion. These most certainly can truly engender a life of grace... These liturgical actions must be regarded as capable of giving [Sedevacantists] access to the community of salvation.
It follows that [Sedevacantists], though we believe them to be deficient in some respects, have been by no means deprived of significance and importance in the mystery of salvation. For the Spirit of Christ has not refrained from using [Sedevacantism] as a means of salvation... "
Sedevacantists are in a win-win situation, while Novus Ordos risk eternal damnation if they're wrong.

These are the typical effects of Vatican II. The Filioque clause is not a secondary doctrine in the Catholic Faith, but rather a dogma of our Holy Catholic Faith, to omit it in front of those who deny the Filioque is at least scandalous and a tacit concession to their heresy.
