Winter break is here, and though the MSU Union is a bit quieter, our hearts are full of warmth and nostalgia as we think of each and every one of you. 💚❄️ We can't wait to welcome you back to campus!

Thanks everyone for your concern (and speedy evacuation)! No fire here, just a steam discharge from our cooling tower combined with an amber colored light up on the roof. Many thanks to our first responders for the swift assistance.

Today we mark the 100th anniversary of the first official groundbreaking ceremony for the MSU Union! Class of 1878 graduate, W.K. Prudden, received the honor of turning the first shovel of dirt. Read about the project for the campus landmark here: spr.ly/6010O4yjK

We appreciate the support we received last week at the Union; that includes the warm, furry snuggles and cold, wet nose kisses from our four-legged friend, Peanut, who acted as an onsite therapy dog, welcoming people back into the space.

Important things to note as the Union re-opens, today.

The Union will re-open April 3 at 8 a.m.

For the first time since 2020, The Alumni Chapel is now open to the public, Tues. through Fri. from 8A-11A, for the remainder of the semester as a resource for continued reflection and healing. A sanctuary for all, it is best known for its stunning stained-glass windows.

Due to the tragedy of Feb. 13th, the MSU Union will remain closed for the time being as we work diligently to reopen the building in its proper form and at the appropriate time. We greatly appreciate your support during this difficult time.

The Alumni Memorial Chapel will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. the week of February 20th for our students and our campus community as a place of solace.
