19/19 An hour of video on @Telexhu or a longform interview on 24.hu should be one of the prime spots in Hungarian media. It's not good if it's filled with gibberish, or obvious falsehoods go unchallenged because everyone is just winging it.

18/19 On the other hand, Hungarian independent media doesn't look good parading around an uncredible and unreliable interview subject on a topic he's not in a position to know of. It's unprofessional at best, and indicative of a dangerous decoupling from reality at worst.

1/19 Independent Hungarian media is doing interview after interview with public personality László Pesty, a vocal Fidesz ally, who now openly criticizes top oligarchs close to the party. What is going on here? I've reported on Pesty for a story for 6 months. Let me unpack.
