jesus christ

Today a bunch of Roman Catholics are losing their minds over a 2-year-old AI photo (or the latest Trump AI Jesus/Pope version making rounds). Let me remind everyone of a few things that should have triggered real, sustained outrage but somehow didn’t get the same energy: The clerical sexual abuse scandal — ongoing since at least the 1980s. Thousands of minors (mostly boys) abused by priests, bishops, and religious orders across the world. Billions in payouts, dioceses declaring bankruptcy, shattered lives, and a massive loss of trust. -Vatican financial scandals and corruption — money laundering allegations through the Vatican Bank, shady real estate deals, and internal leaks that keep surfacing. -Institutional abuse in Church-run facilities: Magdalene Laundries, Mother and Baby Homes in Ireland, and cases involving nuns and adults. The Church has admitted wrongdoing in many cases, paid reparations, and put safeguards in place. But transparency and full accountability still lag, according to victims’ groups. Selective outrage is a hell of a thing. An AI image gets people fired up while systemic failures that destroyed real lives get memory-holed. Critical thinking check: Where’s the consistent standard?

JUST IN: 🇺🇸 President Trump posts image portraying himself as Jesus Christ.

Trump says gas prices could be lower by the midterms — “or maybe a little higher.”

TRUMP: “Pope Leo is WEAK on crime, and terrible for foreign policy.”

WE. REACHED. A. FUCKING. AGREEMENT. WITH. THEM. IN. 2015. THAT. IMPOSED. STRICT. LIMITS. ON. URANIUM. ENRICHMENT. UNTIL. 2040. It was called the JCPOA. And Trump TORE IT UP IN 2018 out of spite for @BarackObama 8 years later, here we are. Total. Disaster.

I'd love to hear her husbands side of the story...
