@vinnie_paz what's up man. Do you have a favourite movie from each directors of Kubrick, Spielberg and Nolan?
English

@vinnie_paz I agree with Nolans movies, since interstellar his movies have been average and hyped. I wasn't fussed on Dunkirk or Tenet either. The Prestige is amazing 👏 thanks for the great answer ✊🏽 not sure if you have seen this teaser for Damian McCarthy new film youtu.be/OFmbY2o4tt0?si…

Kubrick is very tough. It changes. just a brilliant, once-in-a-lifetime mastermind.
I think Spielberg is a hack who makes overly sentimental, manipulative films.
Nolan is a gun. I love Memento and Insomnia. I didn’t care about the Batman films (I’m not a comic book guy), but I did half watch the one with Heath Ledger on a plane, and Ledger was brilliant. I loved both The Prestige and Inception. people were mega horny for Oppenheimer, but I hate period pieces, so I never watched it.
good question tho, Moe ✊🏽

Philip Seymour Hoffman (July 23rd, 1967 - February 2nd, 2014)
the most talented actor of the last 30+ years. truly incredible to watch. felt like a different human being in every single role. brought humanity to monsters without ever making excuses for their behavior. watch any of his films back to back and wallahi you'll have to keep telling yourself it's the same actor. quite possibly being the most versatile actor l've ever seen in film. his influence within the medium of acting in the 21st century has no parallel amongst his generation of extremely talented peers. one of very few “celebrity” deaths that hit me especially hard, and one I think about the most as I get older. no one can do what he did. what a tragedy and an incredible loss for filmmaking.

@vinnie_paz Stand by me and shawshank redemption could be the best Stephen King adaptations

happy 80th to Steve Martin, one of the most brilliant comedic minds of our time. some of my earliest memories are of his stand-up specials/albums, as he’s one of my mama’s all-time favorite people. The Jerk is one of very few movies that makes me laugh like a mental patient from start to finish. my brother and I practically watched it on a loop. he branched away from comedy, became a successful actor, author, playwright, pianist, and banjo player, earning Emmy, Grammy, and American Comedy awards, among other honors. a true National Treasure.

@CultureCrave @cineworld The prestige and insomnia would have also been good

@vinnie_paz In back to the future 1985, he goes back 30 years to 1955. If it came out today, he would go back to 1995

29 years ago today, Nas releases his sophomore LP, It Was Written, on Columbia Records. Illmatic is the gold standard for a lot of heads, and I’m not mad at you if that’s the case, but I’m also lowkey not mad if you think It Was Written is better. the only shit I don’t like on here is "Nas Is Coming", and that’s because the beat on there (Dr. Dre) is mega trash. Nas style was rawer on Illmatic, but on here, he’d become a more well-rounded MC. if Illmatic is the rap bible, It Was Written is the New Testament.

@vinnie_paz Classic album. What's your personal favourite albums in order of reasonable doubt, ready to die and illmatic?

@vinnie_paz Thanks for the reply. Ari next movie, Eddington, and PT andersons One battle after another, both look great 👍🏽
English

@MShayei I like Ari Aster a lot. PT Anderson is still brilliant. Lars von Trier is still great. Wes Anderson is still great. I’d have to think on it a bit more.
English

@vinnie_paz, what's up, vinnie? Do you rate any of the modern movie directors from Nolan, coogler, or peele and any favs movies of theirs you enjoyed?
English

@vinnie_paz His production on off the wall, thriller, and bad are amazing 👏

RIP Quincy Jones
no musician moved so effortlessly and brilliantly between styles and settings - collaborating with everyone from Sinatra to Michael Jackson to Miles Davis. the word “legend” is often misused, but in the case of Quincy Jones, it’s an understatement. the definition of music. there will never be another.
Quincy is filmed here giving "the best advice I ever got"
