Reading this article about the importance of trees and woodland and their role in alleviating flooding you would think it was from a recent source, considering the relevance it has, but it is from The Aberystwyth Observer, 24th May 1879 - 143 years ago!

@DXdelivery I have sent another complaint about the same driver in the Llandovery area today. This time almost forcing me off my bicycle when it was my right of way, and shouting aggressively at me while he drove passed. This shouldn't be tolerated and is a police matter in theory

We are living with extremes at the moment. Less than 2 months ago I posted the @metoffice image showing rainfall totals in excess of 350% the average in places. Now, half way through April the map shows 20% the average rainfall for much of the UK #weather #rainfall #metoffice

@catrinphysio They die unfortunately. The sting has a barb on it so when they sting and fly away, it gets pulled away from their bodies. When you get stung you can see the venom sack attached to the stinger. It carries on pumping venom even without the bee attached.

@MTBHuw When bees kill with stings do they also die? Or do they have a different way of killing... I would love to have 🐝

#honeybees are merciless when they need to be. I missed the bit where 4 or 5 of them attacked, stung and killed this wasp (judging by her size, I think it's a queen wasp). I did capture them dragging it out of the hive though. Brutal. #beekeeper #beekeeping
