Great thought for day KURT VONNEGUT: I went out to buy an envelope ~ Oh, my wife says,  well, you're not a poor man, You know, why don't you go online and buy a hundred envelopes and put them in the closet? And so I pretend not to hear her. And go out to get an envelope because I'm going to have a hell of a good time in the process of buying one envelope. I meet a lot of people. And, see some great looking babes. And a fire engine goes by. And I give them the thumbs up. And I ask a woman what kind of dog that is. And, and I don't know. The moral of the story is, is we're here on Earth to fart around. And, of course, the computers will do us out of that. And, what the computer people don't realize, or they don't care, is we're dancing animals. You know, we love to move around. And, we're not supposed to dance at all anymore. ~ Kurt Vonnegut 100%

CALL TO ACTIVISM

Wow. This story is crazy! "On Sunday a woman in New York City accidentally threw out her diamond wedding ring. She realized it in the middle of the night, and did the only thing she could think of, she left a NOTE on the windshield of a parked garbage truck. When the garbage man got to work, he read the note, dug through tons of garbage, and FOUND her ring. The driver's name is Gary Gaddist, and he went through the garbage HIMSELF. It took him about an hour, but he was able to find the garbage bag with paint rags in it and when he ripped it open, he found Danielle's ring! Here's a great picture of the two of them!" There ARE good people in this world. 💙

What a great story.

About six months ago my neighbor asked me for the WiFi password, I gave it to him because it didn’t cost me anything and because I got along with him. Yesterday I was walking home and he was at the door, I stopped to talk a bit as usual and he happily told me he now had Netflix. At that I jokingly said, “I work hard barely have time to watch TV but it’s great if you could lend me your password to watch some shows I’d appreciate it.” A voice was heard in the distance, it was his wife sitting in the car, “we can’t give it to him because I’m the one who pays and I can’t share it.” The most total silence rained. The man apologized, subheading I said there was no problem. We kept talking about other things as they went in he stayed out doing his stuff. Shortly thereafter his wife came out to call him she seemed very nervous, said “the television wasn’t working,” my neighbor came into my house, I looked out the window, after a few minutes, he and his wife came to call me and told me the WiFi wasn’t working, that the password wasn’t going in. I looked at them and said, “I changed my password because it’s me paying and I can’t share it.” The wife turned red and tried to say something, but I said, “ma’am, I have my network and you have your Netflix, everything is fine, everyone is happy.” They turned around and left closing the door. They never spoke to me again. This story isn’t mine but here’s the lesson I learned from it, friendship must be mutual, love must be mutual, affection must be mutual, sharing must be mutual. Life is give and take.

"It is literally impossible to be a woman. You are very beautiful and very smart... and it breaks my soul that you think you're not good enough, like we're always supposed to be extraordinary, but somehow we're always doing it wrong. We have to be skinny, but not too much and you must not say you want to be skinny. You must say you want a healthy weight, but also… YES you have to be skinny. You must have money, but you can’t ask for money because that would be rude. You gotta be a boss, but you can't be tough. You must lead, but you cannot crush other people’s ideas. You’re supposed to love being a mom, but you don’t talk about your kids all the time. You have to be a professional, but also always take care of everyone else. You are responsible for men’s misbehavior, WHICH IS CRAZY, but if you notice that, you’re accused of being a whine. You're expected to keep yourself pretty for men, but not so pretty you 'try them too much' or threaten other women… because you're supposed to be part of the sorority. You must always stand out and always be very grateful… but never forget the system is fixed, so find how to acknowledge it but remember to be grateful. You must never grow old, never be rude, never show off, never be selfish, never stumble, never fail or show fear and, of course, you must never be sassy. It's very hard, it's too contradictory and nobody gives you a medal or says thank you. And it turns out, in fact, that not only are you doing everything WRONG, but also, everything that happens is YOUR FAULT. I'm tired of seeing myself and every woman doing the impossible for others to love us." - America Ferrera as Gloria Barbie (2023)
