Today is "Fire Truck Friday" and our feature this week is one of our retired command vehicles known as 32-66. 32-66 (retired) was a 1995 Chevy Suburban which served as our command vehicle until 2007 and was then reassigned as utility 32-88 till it was replaced in 2011.
This week we had the honor of having some fellow firefighters from the Feuerwehr Stutzpunkt Amriswil in Switzerland visit our firehouse while in the area on vacation.
As we dry out from all the rain this we are glad it is "Fire Truck Friday". The "FTF" this week is 32-78 which was a 1977 FTI pumper on a Ford chassis. 32-78 had a 750 GPM pump with a 750 gallon tank and served Millstone till it was replaced in 1997.
The "FTF" feature today is the original tanker 32-96. The tractor was a 1975 Chevy tractor with a early 1950's oil tank which was converted to operate as a water tanker. This set up was used until the mid 1970's
The week has been wrapped up and its time for the weekend but not before we celebrate "Fire Truck Friday". The "FTF" feature of the week is is a station wagon, which was one of the Chiefs cars that served Millstone in the 1980's.
Back in the early days of the Fire Department we had to be creative to provide fire protection with the available funds. This weeks "Fire Truck Friday" spotlight is the first brush truck to serve Millstone. The Department re purposed a used military 2.5 Ton truck

Tonight members of the Department participated a hose line advancement drill where we practiced the team work skills and coordination required to advance hoselines into a fire.
The week is coming to a end which means it's "Fire Truck Friday". In the early years of the Fire Department we operated the Townships ambulances until the Millstone First Aid Squad was formed in 1954. The Fire Department ambulances are the "FTF" feature this week.

Tanker 32-96 is the feature of this weeks "Fire Truck Friday" . 32-96 is a 1990 Mack tractor with a 1990 4 Guys trailer carrying 6000 Gallons of water. The trailer is set up with a diesel pump which allows the trailer to draft without the need for an additional engine.
This week for "Fire Truck Friday" we present our 1960 GMC / Great Eastern which had a 750 GPM Hale, and a 850 Gallon tank, it served Millstone till it was replaced in 1978.
The Department operated today at a garage fire on Stillhouse Rd. We would to thank the mutual companies that came out to assist, the tankers from the Western Monmouth Tanker Task Force who supplied water and Cassville who provided a Engine and Tanker to cover Millstone

This morning members of the Department participated in a tanker drill with the Suburban Chiefs Tanker Task Force in Plainsboro. This is good refresher drill because water shuttle operations are a standard practice in Millstone where we have no hydrants.
