Well done to P5 and the local community for organising another very successful Easter Bunny Run. We raised a fantastic £3141.15 for @ClanNow in memory of Miss Bruce, who taught in Forehill for many years. This, along with the playground oak tree we planted, was a fitting tribute.

It takes many hours of dedication to play an instrument well enough to perform in front of others, and it is always great to see someone who has worked very hard get a chance to show what they can do. What a role model! ♥️ Available for bookings! 🥁🥁😉👏

Many thanks to Liz from Aberdeen University who came in on Monday afternoon to give us a taste of a Victorian classroom. Liz has been working with us on our Treescapes project as we learned about BoD past and present. We really enjoyed the activities and seeing the artefacts. 👨‍🎓

P5 had a great time planting out some school-sown broad beans and peas in our garden. It was great to take advantage of the lovely weather! Hopefully we will soon see the pods begin to grow. 🌱🌱

Thanks to the Treescapes team from the University of Aberdeen, who organised tree identification and soil sampling activities for P5 on the moor this week. We all enjoyed using the science kits and learning about nature in the local area. 🌳🌳👩‍🔬👨‍🔬

P5 enjoyed the cake decorating session hosted by the pupil council before the coronation weekend. 🧁🧁

Well done to all those who participated in the cross-country races at Oldmachar Academy last week. It was tough going but they did themselves proud! 👏🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️

Reminder to all P5s that we are going to the moor tomorrow afternoon. Please remember to bring a rain coat and wellies etc as it will be wet.

Well done to our 🌟 award winners 🌟, Sophia,Karys and Brittany, for their great maths/ questioning skills this week. Keep up the great work!

P5 enjoyed seeing the area wormery on Thursday, or at least most of them did! 🐛 🐛 An interesting way to see how worms support the ecosystem.
