Malta at the OSCE

The Permanent Mission of Malta to the @OSCE took part in the first #SHDM 2026, joined by Dr Fiorella Fenech Vella from 🇲🇹 OSA. The @OSCE PC welcomed 🇲🇩 Moldova's Hon. MFA @MihaiPopsoi in his capacity as President of the Committee of Ministers of the @coe. Building on its 2025 Presidency of the @coe, 🇲🇹 reaffirmed its shared commitment to #democracy, human rights & European security & looks forward to continued #cooperation and enhanced synergies b/w the OSCE & the CoE.

🇲🇹 joined likeminded @OSCE pS, the 🇪🇺 & its MS, & other members of the Diplomatic Corps to mark the 4th Anniversary of the war in 🇺🇦. 🇲🇹 reiterates its support to  🇺🇦's sovereignty, independence & territorial integrity, & remains committed to a comprehensive, just & lasting #peace.

On the 4th Anniversary of Russia’s war of aggression against Ukraine, 🇲🇹 the Hon. @DeputyPMIanBorg addressed the @OSCE Reinforced PC Meeting, where he condemned the ongoing senseless violence & flagrant violations of international law in 🇺🇦. As a founding member of the Register of Damage for 🇺🇦 under the auspices of the @coe & signatory of the Convention establishing the Claims Commission, 🇲🇹 will continue to support the call for full reparation for the harm and damage caused by the war. The Hon. DPM also welcomed the recent visits of the OSCE CiO & the Secretary General in Kyiv & Moscow & underscored the importance of #dialogue & #diplomacy in support of peace efforts.

Four years since Russia’s military aggression against Ukraine began, we honour the resilience and courage of the Ukrainian people. We reaffirm our unwavering support for Ukraine’s sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity within its internationally recognised borders.

🌐The Embassy welcomed the Maltese delegation to the @oscepa, consisting of the Head of Delegation, Hon. Alex Muscat, together with Hon. Rebekah Borg, and Hon. Ramona Attard. 🇲🇹🤝Our meeting provided a valuable opportunity to exchange views on 🇲🇹’s priorities on the international stage, and particularly within the @OSCE, highlighting the importance of dialogue & multilateralism in addressing today’s complex challenges. 🙏We are grateful for the insightful discussion and remain committed to working closely with 🇲🇹’s parliamentary delegation to continue supporting the OSCE & championing multilateralism at all levels.

As part of the Troika & Chairperson of the @OSCE #APCG, CdA @D_M_Borg chaired the #APCG & #Troika meeting in the margins of the #MC.
