The Karen Hospital, in partnership with Leeds General Infirmary (UK), has concluded a 3-day heart failure and arrhythmia camp where 11 patients received life-changing interventions, including advanced pacemakers and EP ablations.

In future appropriate clinical outcome needs to be investigated not assumptions that AF=stroke

Perhaps an example where the decision to monitor has been made with the knowledge that more AF will be found but before knowing whether anticoagulation in these patients will affect clinical outcomes

Just a thought. Could crew/cockpit resource management training help reduce adverse events in medicine? It has made flying safer.

@GHCardiology this is so inappropriate on so many levels. Being a TAVR operator is not just about deploying a valve, but working up the pt for the optimal mx of their AS, managing the patient prior to procedure and dealing with complications. This is not safe for patients particularly given that there are numerous TAVI trained medically qualified operators in UK.
