I wanted to Scott Mctominay sold at the time, I’ve previously wanted Diogo Dalot sold. Mctominay’s exit truly taught me the importance of guys who thoroughly understand Manchester United and what it means as a club. These guys might not be the ‘greatest’ footballers ever, but the impact they have on things behind closed doors is huge. Raising standards, keeping the group connected, passing that mindset onto others. Mctominay had that, Dalot HAS that. I’d genuinely keep him around now. His mentality is fantastic. Been much better as a player under Michael Carrick too.
