Dr. Robert Layton McCurdy, a psychiatrist, Distinguished University Professor and Dean Emeritus of the Medical University of South Carolina College of Medicine, died on Jan. 26, at the age of 90.

The couple moved to Atlanta for six years, but recently returned to Charleston, where Nick is a residential PT faculty at MUSC, teaching anatomy – the very class where he met Sara Kate! #MUSCAlumni #MUSCLoveStories

"Our first official date was at Avondale Wine and Cheese ... followed by years of Charleston adventures. Many of our favorite memories were at MUSC-sponsored events: Wine Night at the Aquarium, back-to-school bashes and oyster roasts.”

"At the time, OT, PT and PA students all took anatomy together that first summer. We officially met at one of Dr. Jack Thomas’s famous “post-gross” parties after our first anatomy exam.
