Congratulations to this year’s Spiders All Stars chosen by their peers rather than manager selection: SS Ed Harper Util/P Colgan Knox OF/P Jake Scoville Joey Fell and Carson Fife are unable to attend the game on 8/16.

Had a great time with a phenomenal group of men this season. Didn’t end how we wanted it to, but I can’t wait to run it back next season with these boys. 2026 is looking up for the Spiders.

Really looking forward to the future. But for now we are concentrating on trying to knock down a REALLY good Cardinals team that is headed to the NABF regional tournament after this first round. We wish them all the luck for that…but not Sunday-Tuesday coming up!

It’s been a really fun season with a fantastic group of young men from the guys we started with in February to the guys we picked up these last few months. When I say they’re a fantastic group of young men I’m not only referring to baseball skills. These are solid guys.

Another regular season draws to a close. Not the record we would like, but the playoffs start Sunday and that’s when things get really serious. The Cardinals are the 2 seed and they’ll host us for Game 1 of the Quarterfinals Sunday. Time and location TBD.

As a reminder the premier league plays one round and then pauses for another event to take center stage. Just like MLB does for the Olympics.

Exciting final week (again?) of MVAA baseball coming up. Kind of tight at the top for the first 3-4 seeds and also the last 2-3 teams jockeying for position heading into the playoffs. Make sure you’re out and about to take in some #FreeBaseball

When you schedule your rainouts quickly so you get to play your entire season and even get a 14 day stretch where you only play 1 day.

Today the Spiders celebrate and honor Larry Doby, the first black baseball player in the American League. It would be great if @MLB would honor Mr. Doby with a day, similar to Mr. Robinson.

The countdown continues. Sandy Alomar Jr. days until #MVAA #OpeningDay. True story, had a drink at the hotel about 4’ away from him in 2017 when the team was in Tampa. Cool guy. I aspire to be the first base coach he is.
