@Nick_Buonocore Me too… I see you won it in’99, we won it in 2000, Montclair State. Love your post, and both my HS and college coaches played a big part in our success.

I played on a high school state championship team and a college national championship team. Two main things both teams had in common: 1) Both teams completely BOUGHT IN to the championship goal from day one. 2) Every player on those teams BELIEVED to their core it could be done.

@TigercoachJoeyD @natejackson__ I agree with coach Dubuque… I was lucky to coach coach Dubuque 6th-8th grade and his offense was almost to good! He would double leg opponents so well, that he would put himself on his own back! It is easier to slow wrestlers, then speed them up.

@natejackson__ I think offense, even though he will be successful against youth wrestlers with good defense but will be harder to break him of the habit of not shooting and relying on defense/go behinds. Easier to teach a kid defense after he develops a really good leg attack

Should I teach my son defense or offense first? Looking for some wrestling guidance so brief reasoning would be appreciated 🙏🏾

@craigcartonlive Does Stanton get any blame???? Backside runner checks frontside runner (Stanton) who breaks and then pauses... forces Sanchez to freeze and get picked. He becomes the 5th run on a base hit. They can go into the 9th down 1 with a base hit if both runners advance.
