The most notable price action in US markets today is that US government yields have finally responded to the fall in oil prices, falling 9 basis points. As is often the case, it’s not easy to explain why now and not before given so many days of oil price declines. I suspect that two notable levels today had something to do with it: not only did oil fall back to end-of-February levels, but WTI also dipped below $70 intra-session.
