The LPGA Tour has been vocal about drastically improving their telecast. In just the last 30 minutes we've seen:
-An in-depth booth interview with Natasha Andrea Oon after she broke down in tears on her final hole (first made cut of her career)
-A clear effort to get player/caddie convos in the fairway
-A lot of drone shots showing off the layers of Sharon Heights
-Cool handheld fairway shots that also show off the golf course's features.
It certainly helps to have such a fun looking golf course to display. Great to see some serious progress so quickly. Should be some really good primetime viewing this weekend.

@AriWasserman You think Texas “probably” would have gotten in at 10-2 with two top 10 wins, another top 15 win, and one of their losses being to a top 5 team. They would have been ranked ahead of OU and hosted a playoff game.

What do the metrics look like if Texas wins??? Crazy way to think for an elite-level program like UT, I know.
And you may be right. If UT beat Virginia instead, it probably would have gotten in. But making wholesale changes based on the results of an individual season -- which was the first year of the 12-team CFP seeded properly — is misguided.
Texas also had a hard draw in the SEC, which isn't guaranteed every year. One year they'll get a weak draw like in 2024, and if they don't have a tough non-con game, they may be like last year's Vandy -- 10-2 and out.
Getting in at 10-2 in the SEC isn't always a given. Play hard games. IT IS WHAT SPORTS IS ABOUT!!!!

@sullivangolf @kentDavids0n @Daniel_Rapaport FWIW, I think the winning score will be somewhere between 10 to 15 this summer (dependent on wind obviously). The course definitely won’t play as pillow soft as it did this weekend and hopefully it shows some teeth.

I am fascinated to see how Pebble Beach plays at next year's U.S. Open because with the early-week rain this week, and good weather during tournament days, and manageable (but not no) rough, this course has no chance right now.

@sullivangolf @kentDavids0n Not that @Daniel_Rapaport needs someone to fight his battles for him, but avg driving distance now is about 15 yards further tha 2010, and 30 yards further than 2000. Technology and athleticism has completely changed the way pebble plays regardless of the time of year.

I've learned so much from Dr. Piper that I feel a burden to find a way to maintain my high view of him every time he crashes out like this.
I still assert that in his very specific, narrow theological-piety niche he's been a blessing.
That said, he's clearly in a Time to Take Dad's Keys moment (as you may have heard us talk about on @BackwoodsBelief). And that difficult task generally falls to a man's sons.
However, in Dr. Piper's case it isn't possible because his sons are woke to horrendous degrees. There's a question of cause and effect there but it is also a tragic case of a ruinous end of what should be a Flagship Household of evangelicalism and, for the same reason I opened with, I can't help but be saddened by it.

A few days ago, Talarico’s campaign accused Rep. Crockett of planning “attack ads.” Today, a Super PAC backing Talarico launched an attack ad on Rep. Crockett. They lied about her planning to attack him so they can justify attacking her.

These people are playing in our face. Allred says something about Talarico and they blame Rep. Crockett, who wasn’t even involved. But a pro-Talarico Super PAC drops negative ads and he’s an “innocent bystander”?

She posted a follow up with receipts. During the PA Democratic Primary, Black voters warned us about John Fetterman and they were ignored. We are now seeing they were right. Black folks are warning us about James Talarico. Maybe this time y'all should listen.
