NEW FACILITY IN BHUBANESWAR WILL PRODUCE SOLAR CELLS AND MODULES TO BOOST INDIA’S CLEAN ENERGY PUSH Ampin Energy Transition and Jupiter International have launched a 1.3 GW solar manufacturing facility in Bhubaneswar, marking a major step in India’s renewable energy expansion. The plant has been developed through their joint venture, Ampin Solar One Pvt Ltd, formed in 2023. The facility will manufacture photovoltaic solar cells and modules, which will be used for Ampin’s own energy projects as well as supplied to third-party developers. This project is part of the Government of India’s Production Linked Incentive PLI scheme aimed at strengthening domestic solar manufacturing and reducing dependence on imports. With this addition, Jupiter International is expanding its existing solar capacity, which already includes 2 GW of production and a 1 GW facility in Himachal Pradesh. The company is also planning a 1.25 GW TOPCon solar line.
