@JacquiOatley Staying under 20mph ( without cruise control) requires focus on the speedometer. If you are looking at the speedometer you are not looking out the window. I would rather be missed by someone doing 25ish mph than hit by someone doing 20mph...

Understand the frustration of this. I’m also thinking of the devastated parents of an 11-year-old girl (my close friend’s goddaughter) who was hit by a car in London after her school broke up this past Christmas. She later died. The driver was exceeding the 20mph limit.

Just been nicked for a second time for doing more than 20mph in outer London while a mate of mine in North London faces losing his licence soon for running up 12pts for breaking that limit 4 times. There will be record driving disqualification going through the courts. . Khan will be so pleased. Almost impossible to do 20mph for any period of time. Cars weren’t built to go that slowly.

Saw a bloke on the tube at 7.30am peel the cover off a Sainsbury's trifle.
People were watching, interested to see how he'd approach it.
He got a large Dairy Milk Fruit and Nut bar out of his pocket, unwrapped it, then used it as a spoon to eat the trifle.

The instrumentalization of the tragedy of all those imprisoned and murdered in the German Nazi concentration and extermination camp Auschwitz for political messaging is a profound moral failure. Just landed in Heathrow Airport T3. Went into M&S. Three staff working.
I said to them “MR LOVERMAN”.
None of them responded with "SHABBA".
I have a voice recording & their names to report to M&S.
We must confront them every time.

7 yrs ago I had a vague idea our patio would be better without umbrellas but a living umbrella. I wasn’t sure if it would work and I knew it would take yrs.
Today … I’m full sun…(it’s a jasmine) it smells amazing and the shade is wonderful.

Folks I’ve been in policing & law & order for some 47yrs & on both I know my onions; I’m somewhat stunned at the abuse that a Female GMP Police officer challenging a couple of violent thugs at an airport has received for daring to cry having been punched in the face & receiving a broken nose; the people who should be highlighted are those who assault women & any serving police officer!🤷♂️
