@michaelpforan 1:1 or 1:2 is absolutely amazing! What a treat. 1:3 or 1:4 also great, in my view.

I will usually teach 1:1 or 1:2. Occasionally I have groups of 1:3. Students will typically have written a 1.5-2k word essay in advance of the tutorial and students will have 1-2 tutorials a week. We then meet to discuss the topic and their essays. It’s incredibly rewarding.
