In Kingdom Come: Deliverance there is a quest that forces you to live the Rule of St. Benedict. In the quest "A Needle in a Haystack," you have to infiltrate a monastery to find a killer. But you can't just run around. You have to become a novice monk. The game forces you to follow the actual schedule of 15th-century monks (in-game ofc not real time): >Wake up at 4:00 AM for Matins (Prayer). >Go to the Scriptorium to copy Latin texts. >Eat in silence. >Observe the Vow of Silence. If you miss Mass or are caught sneaking around, the Circators throw you in solitary confinement. It teaches you that the "Monastic Life" wasn't a vacation; it was a discipline of iron.
