@XinWanghelsinki developed a handy genetic tool called #RootTracker to follow fate of lateral root primordia (LRP). He showed that arrested LRPs gradually obtain cambium identity and contribute to the secondary growth. biorxiv.org/content/10.110…

In our Tansley review, we attempted to establish the stem cell concept in vascular cambium the way we see it. I hope that this is useful also for the other cambium enthusiasts.
