I have tweeted b4 on RS Berkane. And urged that some of our sports journalists should visit Berkane city and bring back the story of this club. You need to visit their training center in the city of Berkane, in order to appreciate fully what they're doing right. One of the most modern training center in Morocco, second only to the FRMF Headquarters training center in Rabat, in terms of modernity and comfort. When I first arrived at their training center in November 2023, what struck me was the number and quality of their training pitches and gym. They have dormitories that house players from all age categories. They have youth teams from U5 age group(boys & girls) all the way up to their senior team. Throughout the day, it's parents after parents bringing in their kids to train with the Academy coaches through different age groups. It's a marvel, a beehive of activities and training sessions taking place at different sizes of small pitches for the very young ones, to the full-sized pitches used by the senior men side. It's natural grass pitches mixed in with artificial grass pitches. The impact of RS Berkane football club on the local residents of this small city of Berkane cannot be over estimated. You can feel it that thuz club is tied into the daily lives of the citizens of this city and region. So it's no surprise that they're challenging for titles both at home and on the African continent. They have a very well laid foundation in place which Ugandan clubs can only dream of.
