Trump is back at it again.
Gotta take advatange of it quickly before he says the opposite in... Probably a few hours...
But what he says doesn't really matter does it? What's important to me here is that markets are still holding key levels after this speech.
$BTC is still above 65.5k
$SP500 still above it's previous low after the SFP we printed below it
It shows that we need a bigger news catalyst than just a Trump speech to resume the HTF downtrend. We need a BIG headline.

A range trader isn't superior to a trend based trader, they're 2 sides of the same coin : when one loses its edge, the other thrives.
Statistically we spend more time in accumulative/distributive phases (70-80%) than in directional phases (20-30%).
So technically you are better off learning first how to trade ranges, than trends because you will be able to use your edge during a longer period than the trend trader.
But that's not what I would recommend to a novice, can you guess why?

A range trader has an edge during an accumulation or a distribution phase.
A trend based trader has an edge during a markup or down.
The ladder benefits from vertical and impulsive market phases (swings/spot)
While the other benefits from horizontal/flat/accumulative market phases (intraday/scalps)

In doubt? Zoom out.
When conditions are choppy, it is easy to lose your bias through the multiple mouvements up and down.
If you ever feel out of the loop, it's important that you zoom out and focus on the higher timeframes to form a bias.
Don't get lost in technical moves.

Earlier this month we asked ourselves (on stream) whether the monthly candle would close in green or in the red.
We concluded that since the HTF is bearish, we should expected a bearish close.
At the time, most thought the close would be green, is it still the case now?
