🇨🇦 Montreal, Canada, May 2026: The pro-Hamas group “Mtl4Pal” has been displaying effigies of Jews wearing kippas, Israeli politicians, Benjamin Netanyahu, and Donald Trump hanging from nooses at protests.

For more than a decade, Paramount Fine Foods was proud to support one of Mississauga’s most important community spaces. The Paramount Fine Foods Centre has been home to countless memories, from youth sports and community events to concerts, celebrations, and moments that brought our city together. As we conclude this sponsorship, I want to thank the residents of Mississauga, the City of Mississauga, and the incredible staff who have helped make this facility such a success over the years. While our name may no longer be on the building, our commitment to Mississauga remains as strong as ever. We look forward to continuing to invest in our community and sharing new initiatives in the months ahead. Thank you for an incredible ten years. #canada #mississauga

“The City unilaterally terminated the contract with Paramount Fine Foods for lack of payment and is in the process of considering its legal options for remedy.”

I want to address the dishonest claim made here by Lyin’ Lisa MacLeod. First, I am an undecided voter. I do not support any candidate as of right now and I’m not sure if I will participate as a voter in the upcoming municipal election. I have not made any comments, either privately or publicly, that would constitute an endorsement of Alex Lawson. Second, within the last few years I have become largely apolitical. I cancelled my membership with a major political party and have otherwise been disengaged with politicians and policy makers. Lisa is a very dishonest person.

This response from our regular Saturday political panel has generated a bit of buzz. Here it is. The interesting part starts about halfway through.

I’m sorry Lisa, I’m going to respond once more. I cannot allow you to spew this nonsense and sign off with “Anyway, good luck.” If you’re referring to Robert Swaita you’re being intentionally dishonest and you know it. He, like many Ottawa residents (including myself), attended the protest in the early days of it appearing. He, like many Ottawa residents who attended the protest (including myself), committed no offences while there. When the protest was declared an unlawful assembly many people (including myself) respected the declaration/police orders and did not return. Robert Swaita did nothing wrong. Period. You replaced the police board because you’re a spineless politician who caved into the demands of the woke mob. They’re going to milk things that never occurred for years because of people like you. “Many of my then constituents were impacted in a variety of ways and anyone Ottawa first would know that.” Seriously? That’s all you got? Yeah, a lot of your then constituents are dramatic, dishonest scumbags that have made allegations for which no evidence has ever been presented. There are thousands of security cameras in downtown Ottawa. The protest was live-streamed nearly 24/7 by dozens of YouTube channels (thousands of hours of content). Legacy media covered the event extensively. There were tens of thousands of cell phones in the immediate area. ………..to date we have not been presented with a single shred of evidence to support the widespread claims of harassment, intimidation or violence. These supposed events, numbering in the hundreds to thousands, either occurred outside of the view of thousands of cameras, or they never happened at all. Which is more likely?

The convoy didn’t close businesses. Local businesses, including our busiest mall, closed their doors because they didn’t like the politics of the people who were downtown. I visited the protest several times and can tell you that things were incredibly peaceful.
