I increased my slideshow winning hook rate by 50% while testing less by NOT focusing on going viral I stopped treating views as a metric and purely focused on what actually converts here’s what I did: Hooks / angles stopped just copying and testing slow hooks that were already going viral and just made videos that were going viral into slideshows a new format makes the hooks feel brand new to the viewer even if they’ve seen the video before most content creators think you just copy what’s working exactly and it works for going viral it negatively effects your conversion when a viewer sees the same format 10s of times they may watch but they also > scroll when they don’t see any new information (Your slide needs to benefit the viewer) > not take the advertisement seriously (they’ve seen the book promoting a 100 different things) > see through your ad from a mile off so yes you may go viral but your overall conversion is way less because everyone’s stopped caring when you present the viewer with a new format but still a proven hook / angle it > feels fresh so your swipe through rate is higher (making it easier to go viral) > take your offer more as a piece of value instead of an ad > book mark, share, save so you won’t need to push out 1000 slides in a day to get a million views slide you can post 1 and get 10 million views focusing on this but also see a much higher cvr another thing I did to basically 10x my virality rate and also conversion rate is optimise my vouch comments most people will go to the comments before they come even finish your post and most of your posts are littered with either shit vouch comments that feel like an advertisement them selves or someone saying “ad”, “clearly fake” people follow the crowd and will swipe of your slide instantly so I filtered comments by keywords and got rid of anything like that to start second I posted comments that feel real that other people can engage with example: if I’m promoting a skin care brand, I’ll tell a long soppy story on how this saved my confidence and changed my life. people read it engage with it but it’s also a vouch comment. Not enough people test their CTAs They’ll think their angle is cooked or even think it’s doing well but it’s doing half of what it could be your CTA is where the conversion lives so instead of testing hooks I’d test a CTA, making it feel like another piece of value is key I’ll test having my CTA in the slide or just having it as another vouch comment and bot a bunch of likes to it so it stays at the top and also validates the offer with social proof If you do all these things mentioned you will > post less > convert more > go viral more often
