The CFA has declared a Total Fire Ban tomorrow (Sun 11 Jan) for the Central district (which includes the #MacedonRanges). Resource recovery facilities will be closed, in line with our safety policies to protect staff and the community.

- Emergency Relief Centre has opened at Kyneton Toyota Sports and Aquatic Centre, to support evacuees from the Harcourt fire - The Centre's BAU operations (pool, gym) will be temporarily closed as a result - Tmrw is a Total Fire Ban - resource recovery facilities will be closed

V/Line train and coach services scheduled to operate through Catastrophic Fire Danger rated districts tomorrow will not run. This includes trains on the Bendigo, Echuca and Swan Hill lines. For more: go.vline.com.au/4sNaftl

With tomorrow’s very hot weather, the CFA has forecast an 'Extreme' fire danger rating for the Central District which includes the #MacedonRanges. Visit our website at bit.ly/3LBSwnE for information about facility closures and how you can stay informed and stay safe.

You may notice smoke today in the northeast of the #MacedonRanges from a bushfire near Longwood, more than 100km away. While there is no immediate local threat, smoke can travel long distances. Stay informed via VicEmergency website, app and ABC emergency broadcasters.
