@ksorbs Dunno, 25 years after radical Muslims killed thousands of New Yorkers, NYC is on the edge of being declared a caliphate, and cities in Michigan already are. Seems like they have found a winning strategy.

Okay this might sound silly but… 🤔 I saw Americans posting date ideas that included… a gun range?? In Japan that would be a national news headline. Is going to the range actually a normal weekend activity? A) Yes, chill B) Only certain places C) Bro what 😂 Reply + your state

@thedragonstea >"the artists own worst enemy is themselves" This is the thing. I believe AI art will raise the bar for artists. AI art looks homogeneous, and is training itself to be even more homogeneous. The Artists who can distinguish themselves in work and conduct will win.

As the art vs ai art discussion rages, I'm waiting for the 2nd of 2 artpieces to finish so I can put them on promotional material for Matsuri. I ordered them 2 months in advance, thinking how long could they actually take? I'm already going to need to pay express shipping. I might not even make it in time, or I might need to use only 1 of the 2 new mascots. As I keep saying, in the fight against AI, the artists own worst enemy is themselves. I'm growing ever more anxious now.

@denpamaid Juju's is a pre-alpha model, maybe one of the first five, with minimal optimisation. Prototypes never look as good as even the beta test.

@SibeyVT @MrsShiza They also don't get that a majority of that water is recycled in the data centers, it isn't a single pass through system.

-Humans on Earth collectively withdraw roughly 2.9 trillion US gallons of freshwater per day worldwide. -Data centers worldwide (11,400–11,500 facilities) collectively consume roughly 400–600 million US gallons of water per day (low-to-high range based on 2025–2026 data). -Of the 400–600 million US gallons of water consumed daily by data centers worldwide, roughly 80–90% (320–540 million US gallons per day) is freshwater. -Ok so 2.9 trillion gallons of fresh water daily by humas -Data centers use roughly 320-540 Million gallons per day 320,000,000 = 0.011% of Usage 540,000,000 = 0.019% of Usage And heres a tidbit for you: Global golf courses use approximately 2.5 billion US gallons of freshwater per day (mostly for irrigation) That 2.5 Billion = 0.086% So, where's the outrage over water usage over golf courses that use 463% to 781% more freshwater than data centers? OH and here's another piece of information: The planet’s average daily freshwater “refresh rate” (renewable blue water replenished through the hydrological cycle) is roughly 27–33 trillion US gallons per day. So yea MATH!

@DracoWrites7 Eh, enemies are enemies. The bigger problem was how cookie cutter everything was, and no really compelling story to drive it.

Mass Effect Andromeda is a boring game and the Kett was a big reason for it. Removing them wouldn't fix things but I had more fun fighting the Exiles and criminal element than these bozos. It's the ME2 problem again.

🇨🇦 Canada paid 100% to build the Gordie Howe Bridge. Trump blocked its opening this year ..then walked away with a bigger cut of the tolls than the original deal ever gave the US.🇺🇸🤦🏻‍♂️ “Elbows up” was the pitch. Getting checked into the boards is the result. Opens July 27. #Cdnpoli

@YoungStreete Diefenbaker also cut the guts out of Canada's aerospace industry and caused a brain drain of our top talent in the field to the US.

Diefenbaker was PM in 1963. In fact, it was the last year he was PM. One of the reasons he lost to Liberal Lester Pearson was chronic unemployment and growing budget deficits. Sounds familiar. Growing unemployment and increasing budget deficits has become the hallmark of the Liberals, over the last 11 years, with Mark Carney failing to take a different path than Justin Trudeau and improve the Canadian economy. Canadians clearly cared more about the state of their country in 1963 than they do now.

@enidepravity The puritanical ethos/sexual crab bucket of women, at least in North America. Been going on a long time, usually groups of concerned mothers throwing a fit or unsatisfied wives badgering their husbands to "do something". Look up the history of the Comics Code.

Why is it that people are so okay with fictional murder, gore, abuse like literally any horrible horrific thing you can possibly conjure up in your mind but as soon as you add a sexual element to it people lose their fucking minds

After Mark flew his jet to Calgary, he got into his enormous motorcade. Then he drove around town all day, in eight highly polluting SUVs, escorted by several motorcycles. None of these are EVs. And Mark wants ordinary Canadians to adopt a net-zero lifestyle.

Canada is crazy because we pay taxes to the media for them to hold the official opposition to account who haven't been in power for 11 years and have LITERALLY no power to alter the course of the country spend money, or pass any laws.

Taking a highly experimental vaccine (the delivery technique alone was only white papered in 2018) for an illness that failed to wipe out even 20% of a cruise ship full of the most vulnerable never seemed like a good idea to me. Besides, I am pretty sure I got coofed before they announced it was making the rounds on the west coast. And it was nothing but a big ol' nap fest.

@NotAzehara Man, artists with an actual work ethic, and can adhere to a firm timeline, would clean house if they advertised they would work with AI source material. Too bad 99.9% to sigma 7 of freelance artists are soft as baby shit.

He mad. He really mad. Going to take a step back and entertain that logic. Lets assume that this person is right. Lets assume that what they are saying is true and that the people who have worked for me in the past suddenly decide to distance themselves because I make shitty Ai memes. Would they not let me commission them? Would the artists tell their other peers not to work with me possibly threatening any one else that does? So at that point they would reduce their potential clients. That's one source of income they are closing themselves off from which only harms them more. And where does that leave me as a client who is looking for a service but won't find someone to do it? Well it will lead me back to using even more Ai to make up for it. From making shitty Ai memes to simply using Ai for every asset. At that point you are simply shooting yourself in the foot because not only are you harming the artists by reducing the client pool but you are also forcing the other person to engage even more with Ai which was the thing that caused you to sperg out in the first place.

Finance professor and hedge fund manager Patrick Boyle’s warning for Canada: “The arithmetic of a middle class life has stopped balancing.” His thesis — an economy over-financialized around real estate rewards those who already own, and locks out everyone else. Sound familiar? #cdnpoli Housing costs outpacing wages. A generation locked out of the mobility their parents had. This isn’t a talking point. It’s a warning ⛔️ 🇨🇦🚨
