All these public schools who want to run from the smoke by making separate section away from “non-boundary schools” are cowardly to me. If you want to be the best, you have to beat the best. Simple as that. I applaud the public schools who aren’t afraid of playing anyone.

@Phil_W25 @KansasPregame How can we have the tax paying home owning families in a district who choose to not let their children be distracted, teaching the students themselves at great financial costs be ineligible. Simultaneously some students can barely read and write are eligible to play?

@Phil_W25 @KansasPregame I have also seen public school students work hard. I have seen public school kids who graduate and they can’t read or write. They didn’t do the majority of the work, but still get half credit on those assignments and then graduate. They are athletic so they get to compete.

@Phil_W25 @KansasPregame Congrats on your masters. That takes a lot of work. The homeschool students I have seen work incredibly hard too. Their educational accomplishments shouldn’t be devalued simply because they didn’t sit in local usd desks. They often test at levels way beyond their grade level.

That’s why teachers pass kids into high school who can’t even read doing class work that is multiple years below their peers. Meanwhile 15 year old homeschool kids are taking engineering physics through their community college.
