@Sheena2907 @Whitehughes It’s about spearman’s rank hypothesis testing, when to use rho and when not. I’m new to FM this year!

The new Casio Classwiz makes me squirm. Why are the buttons so... round? 😬 I'm not loving the bling on the gold shift key, either 🤢

Last few days have been tough. For the last 15 yrs she was my shadow. Slept with us. Always came for cuddles. She would sit at my office door & howl until I let her in. It's so quiet now 💔. It's amazing the void that a pet can leave when they are family. RIP Maya. #CatsOfTwitter

When a female member of staff asks a group of pupils to put rubbish in the bin and they ignore her, then a male member of staff asks them to do it and they do. That’s everyday sexism & it IS an issue in schools, don’t let people tell you it isn’t.

People who run Core Maths: I’m interested in the most common delivery models. Is it normally done in one year with 4/5 lessons a week? With one teacher? Does anyone do it in two years - if so, how many lessons a week do you have? Thank you!

Today I welcomed my form back, for their final year after having them since year 7 😭and I got to share my life news of getting engaged with them and I’ve never seen a more excited group of year 11’s. Until they realised they weren’t invited to the wedding 🤣

@MathematicalH I often talk to students about comparing surds to variables in algebra, I think it helps them to make that link!

Tried this method for the first time when expanding brackets that included surds. It was a very small group of pupils, however it did help them all to understand how to deal with surd aspect of the question. Does anyone else teach it like this? Love to hear people's feedback!

OK, so the Y6/7 transition packs were soooooo popular, that I was thinking of asking the unbelievable content design team @SparxMaths to create a booklet/course to support for y11/12 transition (i.e. getting ready for AS). If a good idea, RT this to sigal "yes please I want one"
