Today was my first day as Attending in the MICU. It was a great day! Just one question (I’m sure has been asked a thousand times on Twitter) In the ICU, how do you present A/P?

@thau_matturgist I like a hybrid: organ system frame w/ one or more specific problems underneath. Eg Neuro # acute encephalopathy CV # septic shock due to PNA # new onset Afib with RVR Pulm # acute hypoxemic respiratory failure 2/2 community acquired PNA Nephro # septic AKI # hyperkalemia
