She enjoys meeting others and hopefully helping them. Volunteering with us has helped her learn more about various types of cancer and how they affect people. #VolunteersWeek

Our Complementary Therapist, Gill, completed the London Marathon! We're so proud of her achievement and she has raised around £1200 for Macmillan Cancer Support. We are so thankful to her for choosing Macmillan as her charity and so pleased that she finished the marathon safely.

Our volunteers, Marion and Liz, who run our Good Grief group held a fundraising event for Macmillan Cancer Support and raised £621! Their tombola, raffles and more were a massive success. Shoutout also to Richard at the Studio Café and the local community for donations too.

We recently held a very successful evening event at Dr McPhail’s Practice, Motherwell. 30+ people affected by cancer were given the opportunity to chat with our volunteers. Thank you to Dr McAlpine and his staff for hosting and to our volunteers Mary, Isobel, Kay and May

Today we launched our new complementary therapy service in Coatbridge Library. Our Oncology Complementary Therapy Volunteer, Gill, was on hand to help service users. A massive thanks must go to Kirby Group Engineering Ltd for the donations that helped create this service.

Two of our wonderful volunteers won awards at the NL Sports and Volunteer Awards. Mary Cooke, Lead Volunteer at #BellshillCC, won the Changing Lives Award. Isobel Edgar, another Lead Volunteer, took home the Outstanding Achievement Award. Well done everyone, well deserved.
