because sportsbooks are private markets where the house is constantly raking and needs to maintain solvency. prediction markets are actual financial markets with order books and liquidity.
prediction marketing are zero-sum games, sportsbooks are negative-sum. in fact, polymarket pays YOU rewards for providing liquidity.

I think the real issue is that a lot folks think Mendoza is better than the tape says he is. I don't think the gap is that big at all and can easily see how someone could have the order Simpson QB1. But I don't think there is a top 15 pick at the QB position this year.

The knock on Fernando Mendoza isn't that he shrank in big games. He didn't.
The problem is that he never played really well against serious competition. His highest graded game was a low B+.
Much of that is because Indiana blew teams out. But it still needs to be answered for.
