@Mad_Mage_Dev yes. adding a popup modal which detects if vimium is enabled or not
English

@hackerhavingfun @graninas No. I do find this conversation distasteful though. You’ve offered no facts, and your projection is embarrassing.
English

@Mad_Mage_Dev @graninas So, indeed, your feeling were hurt by facts or the statements of such.
English

@Mad_Mage_Dev @graninas Except I don’t need to get any better at “coding”. I’ve seen it all.
English

@Mad_Mage_Dev probably - but it also takes more of your time and energy 😉
English

@hackerhavingfun @graninas Whatever you have to tell yourself. After your “ I have already seen it all,” response, I don’t see a reason talking to you anymore. I hope you come around someday, but this is just sad
English

@Mad_Mage_Dev @graninas Your feelings were hurt by hard facts, not me.
English

@Mad_Mage_Dev @graninas Nope, but you can think whatever is comfortable for you. IRL “coding” is relatively minor part of software engineering, hence your priorities could be wrong
English

@hackerhavingfun @graninas You could. You might be right. But at the end of the day, I’m getting better at coding. You’re getting worse, and you’re losing control by adding a layer between yourself and the code.
English

@Mad_Mage_Dev @graninas I can make the same claim that it’s skill issue that you can’t code with LLM faster
English

@0xglitchbyte Completely agree. It’s shameful to see takes like this
English

If youre still writing code youre unironically so far ahead
dont stop
taoki@justalexoki
if you're still writing code you're unironically falling behind
English

@piyush784066 Because it doesn’t benefit my workflow. It produces subpar code, and I spend more time prompt engineering and redlining AI systems than it would take to just write the code.
English

@hackerhavingfun @graninas I don’t think that’s the flex you think it is. Why not just write the C++ code?
English

@Mad_Mage_Dev @graninas At least I know how to use LLMs to get some nice C++ code out of English prompts ;)
English

@NewAgeRetroNerd I am being completely serious. “Vibecoder” should be an insult
English

@Mad_Mage_Dev Are you serious or being sarcastic? I can't tell with these replies anymore, I'm not trying to make people stop using AI for coding or anything else, I am just skeptical to the hype of infinite boundless perfection being sold, whereas we have a powerful but limited tool
English

@hackerhavingfun @graninas Could be, or you guys are self reporting. I think you have a skill issue.
English

@Mad_Mage_Dev @graninas This means you either don’t know how to use LLM to write a nice code or are bad engineer.
English

nobody writes code anymore. if they tell you they do, they’re far behind everyone else, or they’ll pretend to know something you don’t.
@levelsio@levelsio
I don't write code anymore I haven't written code in I think 6 months? I think everyone is like this no?
